15 hurt in mishap

LAMAHI: Two journalists and 13 artistes were injured when a microbus met with an accident in Arnahawamod of Dang’s Tailahi-1 on Saturday. Artistes Laxmi Bohara of Dolpa and Prem Dangol of Kathmandu were critically injured when the microbus bound for Nepalgunj from Kathmandu skidded off the East-West Highway. The police identified the injured journalists as Dilip Thapa Magar and Rojan Rai. The artistes were on the way to Nepalgunj to visualise a song, the police said, adding that the injured are being treated.— HNS

Flood havoc

TANAHUN: Flooding and landslide have caused damages worth millions of rupees in ward nos 2, 4, 6, 8 and 9 of Syangja VDC in Tanahun. The flooding has caused damage in 150 ropani of land, 18 dams, a three-kilometre section of the Amreni Ambote canal, and half a dozen houses and cowsheds, secretary of Syangja VDC Siddibhakta Pandit said. — HNS
