Youth stabbed

GAIGHAT: Raju Rai of Rampur-6 was stabbed to death by his friend Kajan Rai on Saturday. Kajan stabbed Rai after a drunken brawl. They were drinking in the house. Kajan has been arrested, the police said. — HNS

Envoy bids adieu

Kathmandu: South Korean ambassador Nam Sang Jung is returning to South Korea after completing his two years of tenure in Nepal. A programme was organised at Hotel Sangrila by Nepal-Korea Cooperation Council in honour of Jung. Jung said he learnt many things during his stay. Man shot dead

Gaur: An unknown gang gunned down Rampriya Sahani of Gamhariya VDC- 2 on Friday, the police said. A manhunt has been launched for the culprits. The Tarai Army has owned up the murder. Sahansah, the central member of Tarai Army said that Sahani was shot dead by them. — RSS

Landslide blocks road

Gorkha: A landslide blocked the Gorkha-Anbukhaireni road on Saturday. The road was blocked in Five Kilometer, police said. Following the incident, vehicles bound for the capital from Gorkha have stayed off the road. Police said efforts are underway to clear the debris on the road. — RSS

Youth held with gun

Mahottari: Police on Saturday arrested 22-year-old Janga Bahadur Mahato of Kanti Bazaar, Mahottari, for possession of a weapon. Acting on a tip-off of local youths, Mahato was nabbed on the Dholankhola bank. He was carrying a rifle. — RSS
