Fuel shortage on
Rautahat: Even after Nepal Oil Corporation hiked petroleum prices, fuel shortage is on in Rautahat district. People are buying diesel for Rs 75 to 80, kerosene for Rs 80 to 85 and petrol for Rs 120 per litre in black market in Gangapipara, Madhopur, Samanpur, Sukdevchowk and Santapur villages of the district. Ram Lal Das of Gangapipara blamed the authorities concerned of not taking steps though kerosene was being sold for Rs 85 per litre in Pipra bazaar. The consumers are compelled to buy diesel paying extra in the cultivation season, he added. A local, Matsari Shyam Chandra Jha, blamed the dealers of playing foul in petroleum trading. — HNS
Girl falls to death
BAUNIYA: Eighteen-year-old Dil Kumari Bhandari of Sugarkhal village development committee ward no 7 of Kailali district died after she fell from a cliff, where she had gone to cut grass on Tuesday. She died on way to hospital, relatives of the deceased said. — HNS
