House disrupted
KATHMANDU: The Unified CPN-Maoist continued to disrupt House proceedings on Sunday demanding to revoke the government’s recent decision that overruled the decision of the Maoist-led government to sack Chief of Army Staff Rookmangud Katawal. At the beginning of the meeting, UCPN-M lawmaker Hisila Yami accused the government of taking decisions one after the other with disregard to rules and regulations. The UCPN-M has been disrupting House proceedings for more than a month demanding implementation of the previous government’s decision to sack CoAS Katawal, which was then overruled by President Dr Ram Baran Yadav. —HNS
Myu-hwan’s visit KATHMANDU: South Korean Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Yu Myung-hwan will visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square on Monday. Minister Yu, who is on his way to India is stopping over for a three hours in Kathmandu, stated Ministry of Foreign Affairs, adding that Minister for Foreign Affairs Sujata Koirala will meet Minister Yu briefly at the Tribhuvan International Airport. — HNS
