JAJARKOT: One person died on the spot and another was critically injured after they were buried under a landslide at Chedagada Municipality in Jajarkot on Wednesday night.

The deceased has been identified as Khadak Bahadur Rawat, 18, of the municipality. Police said Khadak died after the landslide buried him while he was returning from a shaman. Nim Bahadur Rawat, 15, of the municipality, who was with Khadak, was injured in the incident. Police said that the injured was receiving treatment in a local medical facility.

The body has been handed over to Khadak’s relatives, said police.
