KATHMANDU: A person died on the spot and another sustained injuries after the van they were travelling on met with an accident in Namobuddha Municipality-2 of Kavrepalanchok district on Thursday morning, police said.

The identity of the deceased, who appears to be in his late 20s, and that of the injured are yet to be established.

According to police, the incident occurred when the van (Sa 1 Cha 1134) lost its control and overturned in the road in Buchchakot at 5:00 am today.

The critically injured was rushed to the local hospital for treatment, informed police.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
