KATHMANDU: A man was killed in a motorcycle accident in Kalanki on Monday, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Milan Sharma (19) of Chandragiri Municiplaity-20.

The accident took place when a tipper (Ba 3 Kha 7586), heading towards Kalanki from Thankot, hit the two-wheeler (Ba 31 Pa 8127) near the Shyama Petrol Pump at Kalanki.

Critically injured Sharma died in course of treatment at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.

Similarly, pillion rider Ashok Maharjan (23) of KMC-14 was injured in the incident and is in critical condition.

Police have arrested tipper driver and impounded the tipper for further investigation.
