PALPA: A person died on the spot and another sustained injuries when the motorcycle he was riding on, collided with a jeep in Rampur Municipality-4 of Palpa district on Thursday evening.

The deceased has been identified as pillion rider Suraj Sen (25) of Badaban in Rampur Municipality and the injured as the motorcyclist Sunil Thapa.

The incident took place when the over speeding motorcycle (Ga 8 Pa 8986) collided head-on with a jeep (Ga 1 Ja 5052) killing Sen, near Islampur at around 7:00 pm yesterday, according to the Area Police Office, Rampur.

Meanwhile, Thapa is undergoing treatment at the Rampur Hospital in Palpa, police said.
