KANCHANPUR: A man was electrocuted in Jhalari-Pipladi Municipality-5 of Kanchanpur on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Krishna Dutta Bhatta (50) of the same municipality.

The incident occurred after he accidentally touched an electric wire of high voltage yesterday evening, Inspector Sundal Rawal of the Area Police Office, Jhalari.

Poacher arrested with gun

Meanwhile, police arrested Yam Bahadur Shahi (43) of Punarbas municipality-7 of Kanchanpur with a gun and nine-round bullets on Thursday.

A team deputed from Area Police Office, Tribhuvanbasti, nabbed him while he was wandering in the area for poaching.

Police said that they are looking into the case.
