One electrocuted in Sindhupalchok
MELAMCHI: A man was electrocuted in Banskharka of Sindhupalchok district on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Nihama Gyalbo Bomjon of Banskharka-7, police said.
Bomjon was heading home when he happened to touch an electricity utility pole on the roadside and was electrocuted.
According to Police Inspector Nawaraj Dhungana at the Melamchi Area Police Office, he died on the spot after receiving the shock from an 11,000-volt current from the pole.
Meanwhile, the locals have blamed the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) for negligence on its part, for risking lives of the people.
