DHARAN: A person was killed when a bus heading towards Itahari from Dharan ran him down at Langali Chowk at around 4:30 pm on Friday. Nagendra Rai of Khoriya Basti in Dharan-15 died on the spot, according to an eyewitness Madan Tamang. Irate locals obstructed the Dhankuta-Itahari road section following the accident. Transportation could not resume till late in the evening. Police personnel have been deployed in the area immediately after the incident to ward off any untoward incident.
