One killed in mishap

Dhangadhi, July 11:

One person died and six were injured in separate road accidents in Kailali district within the past 24 hours.

Pillion-rider Ishwor Bahadur Singh of Pahalmanpur-2 died when the bike he was riding hit a cement pillar near the Kandra Bridge last night, the police said.

Motorcyclist Karna Rokaya and pillion-rider Dambar Bahadur Singh, who were injured in the accident, have been taken to India for treatment.

In another incident, 11-year-old Padamraj Joshi, a resident of Udashipur VDC 2, was injured when a motorbike hit him at Chaumala today, the Chaumala Police Post said.

Motorcyclist Subash Joshi was also injured in the accident. The injured child has been undergoing treatment in Padma hospital in Attariya.

Two persons were injured when a motorbike hit them at Boradandi today.

Niruta Rana of Dhangadhi municipality-13 and an unidentified woman were injured, the police said.

It is learnt that Niruta has been taken to Nepalgunj for treatment.
