DAMAULI: A person died in a road accident at  Thuldhunga in  Bandipur Municipality-4 of Tanahun district on Wednesday.

A microbus (Ga 1 Kha 02) heading from Anbukhaireni towards Dumre collided head-on with a motorcycle (Na 25 Pa 9139) killing its pillion rider.

District Police Office, Tanahun, identified the deceased as Badri Khanal (60) of Bharatpur Municipality-6.

Khanal breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Laxmi Hospital in Dumre while the critically injured motorcycle rider, Pujan Khanal (37) from the same municipality was transferred to Norvic Hospital in Kathmandu for the treatment.

Police have arranged to send the body of the deceased to the Damauli Hospital for postmortem.

Meanwhile,, they are searching for the microbus driver who fled the scene after the accident.
