RAUTAHAT: A 15-year-old girl died after she was buried by a mound of earth near the Lal Bakaiya River in Rautahat on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Rubi Kumari Yadav, daughter of Ram Pukar Yadav of Gamhariya Tole, Bairganiya-8, Sitapur in Rautahat, according to the District Police Office, Rautahat.

Rubi Kumari had gone near the river to fetch red clay to smear the house.

The incident occurred at around 9 am today.

DSP Nabin Krishna Bhandari said that the body has been sent to the District Hospital for postmortem.
