One killed, three injured from electric shock

DHANGADHI: One person died and three others sustained injuries from an electric shock in Shailyashikar Municipality of Darchula district, on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as 24-year-old Ramesh Bista, stated District Police Office (DPO), Darchula.

According to Spokesperson at the DPO, Police Inspector Hikmat Bahadur Bohara, the three persons injured are Bishweshwor Bista, Jagadish Bhatta and Mahesh Bista. They are currently receiving treatment at Gokuleshwor Hospital in the district.

The locals, blaming the electricity authority of negligence, said that the incident occurred because electricity wires were so low as to touch the ground.
