Orientation on job scheme

NEPALGUNJ: A total of 1,450 people are participating in the first phase of the orientation programme to be held in Nepalgunj on self-employment scheme.

Earlier, people belonging to the 16-75 age-group from the neighbouring

Banke, Bardiya, Surkhet, Salyan, Mugu and Dolpa districts had submitted applications seeking loans to be invested in agriculture, sewing/cutting, tourism and retail shops. The Chairman of Nepalgunj Chambers of Commerce and Industry Rabi Devkota said the applicants would be educated about entrepreneurship skills, loan-taking process, insurance, company registration and income tax during the orientation.

He also informed that a total of 9,749 people had applied for the scheme.
