Orthodontic conference concludes in Pokhara

POKHARA: The 9th International Orthodontic and Dentofacial Orthopaedic Conference, organised by Orthodontic Association Gandaki, concluded here on Sunday.

Some 70 working papers focusing on global orthodontic practices of the past and new treatment procedures were presented on the occasion.

Secretary of conference organising committee, Dr Umesh Parajuli, said the orthodontic laboratory classes were also conducted in Gandaki Medical College targeting the conference participants.

On the occasion, Chairperson of Asia Pacific Orthodontic Society Pro Jau, Chairperson of Orthodontic and Orthopedic Society Taiwan Pro Johnson and Orthodontic Association Nepal Chairperson Prof Dr Rabindra Man Shrestha, among others shed light on different dimensions of orthodontics.

Vice-Chancellor of Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences Prof Dr Buddhi Bahadur Thapa expressed his confidence that the conference would be helpful in sharing experiences gathered so far in orthodontics and orthopaedics in different countries.

As many as 150 experts of concerned sectors from different countries including Nepal, China and Taiwan took part in the two-day conference held in Pokhara.
