KATHMANDU: As many as 53, 416 applicants have applied for the 980 vacant posts of section officer, Public Service Commission said today.

A total of 472 posts were announced vacant for technical officer, while 508 posts for non-technical.

According to Narayan Prasad Gautam, section office at the registration management centre of PSC 53, 416 applications were filed for the 980 section officers technical and non-technical combined.

For the technical officer, the applications were filed 66 fold more, while for non-technical officer, the applications surged by 43 fold informed Gautam.

Meanwhile, the Public Service Commission (PSC) has witnessed oodles of applications- 54th fold of the demand- for the post of gazzetted third class officer.
