PALPA: The District Education Office, Palpa, has distributed scholarships, collectively worth Rs 17.46 million, to the students in the current academic year.

The Office said that nearly Rs 2 million was distributed to the physically challenged students of the primary level, Rs 2.77 million for Dalit students and Rs 7.16 million for girls in scholarships.

Likewise, the conflict-hit children were provided with Rs 122,000, according to the Office.

Accounts Officer at the Office Dibakar Aryal said that Rs 600,000 for feeder hostel and Rs 1.86 million was provided for school hostels in the district.

Similarly, Rs 2.34 million was doled out as scholarships for secondary level students and Rs 235,000 for the differently abled students of the secondary level.
