Paras leaves for Singapore as commoner

Kathmandu, July 1:

Former Crown Prince Paras today left the country for Singapore to identify a good school to educate his three kids there.

Tribhuvan International Airport officials said Paras boarded a Silk Air flight, along with his close relatives.

The TIA officials said Paras entered the international terminal of the TIA at around 12:40 and stayed around 15 minutes at VVIP lounge. “Paras, who is bearing an ordinary passport (128845), followed the procedures as a commoner to reach the airstrip,” the TIA official said.

Clad in black suit, Paras reached the airport in black Mercedes with plain clothed security personnel.

His relatives Raj Bahadur Singh, Adarsha Rana, Rajesh Shahi and Abinesh Shah accompanied him to the airport. Rajesh and Abinesh returned from the VVIP lounge, SSP Dhak Bahadur Karki said.

Paras is expected to be in Singapore for a couple of weeks to secure admission for his three children, rent an apartment and hire nanny before taking his wife Himani and children there.
