Parties clueless over states’ structure: Sitaula

Jhapa, May 12:

Although most of the political parties are vehemently supporting implementation of a federal republican order in the country, they have not been able to forward any concrete concept on the issue, Nepali Congress central member and Minister for Home Affairs Krishna Prasad Sitaula said today.

He said this at a programme organised to mark the 19th anniversary of Nepal Teachers’ Association, Jhapa, at Birtamod today.

People’s doubts have not subsided yet because the country is still passing through a transitional stage and permanent peace might not prevail until a federal republican order is implemented and a new constitution based on multi-party democratic system is framed, he added.

President of Nepal Teachers’ Union, Jhapa, Narayan Prasad Gautam said the teachers’ right to form trade union, their chances of getting promoted will stop once the schools are handed over to the communities.
