JHAPA: Former prime minister and senior CPN-UML leader Jhalanath Khanal on Monday underscored the need of unity among political parties for proper implementation of the new constitution.
Speaking to journalists in Birtamode of Jhapa today, Khanal said, “Unity among the parties is a must for effective implementation of the constitution.
Then only can the country move towards economic revolution.
There is no option to unity to be independent as well.” He expressed hope that the strained relation with India would turn normal with the PM’s visit.
Khanal said that most of the demands put forth by the Madhesi forces have been addressed.
“Hence, all kinds of dissatisfactions should be settled through dialogue,” he said.
