Parties who are against national interest are raising issue of multi-nation
BIRATANGAR: CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli has said that the parties who were against the national interest and welfare are raising the issue of multi-nation and multi-nationalities.
Speaking at an election programme here at Pushpalal Chok today, chair Oli said that the left alliance was forged for political stability, national prosperity and to ensure the rights to the marginalized communities.
He committed to developing the East-West Highway into a six-lane highway in assistance of US government, which is providing 500 billion US dollars for the project.
He further committed to expediting various developmental projects including mountainous and hilly roads in the region.
On another note, chair Oli shared that then government led by him had declared Nepali Congress leaders and cadres who were killed by the Panchyat as martyrs. NC cadres Durgananda Jha, Bhim Narayan Shrestha, Yagya Bahadur Thapa and Ram Laxman were killed during the Panchyat regime.
Speaking at the same programme, UML leader Lalbabu Pandit, who is contesting polls from Morang-6 to the House of Representatives, said that the NC had pushed Biratnagar to the sixth ranking city from the first one.
He further committed to developing the Biratanagar as the provincial capital.
Similarly, CPN Maoist Centre leaders Lila Mani Pokharel and Morang-4 candidate Aman Lal Modi urged voters to cast votes for the left alliance candidates.
