KATHMANDU: A pedestrian lost his life after being hit by a bus at Attariya Municipality-6 in Kailali district on Saturday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Bhuwaneshwor Panta (37) of Attariya-7 in the district.

Pant, who was critically injured in the incident, was rushed to the Seti Zonal Hospital in the district, but breathed his last during the course of treatment, police said.

The bus (Na 5 Kha 2844) knocked Panta down at around 6:45 am today.

The Area Police Office, Attariya has impounded the vehicle and arrested its driver for investigation.
