BIRATNAGAR: A pedestrian died after being hit by an unidentified vehicle at Biratnagar-5 in Morang along the Koshi Highway on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Jit Bahadur Bhujel (45) of Biratnagar-4.

Critically injured in the incident, Bhujel, a permanent resident of Khotang, breathed his last on the way to a hospital, said DSP Yogendra Singh Thapa of the District Police Office, Morang.

The incident took place at around 10 pm yesterday.

Police said that they searching the vehicle and its driver.
