KATHMANDU: An elderly pedestrian, who was critically injured in a hit-and-run case, died during treatment in Rupandehi district on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as local Yam Bahadur Darji (71) of Sainamaina-13 of the district

Darji was hit by an unidentified vehicle at around 7 pm yesterday in Sainamaina-1.

Critically injured Darji was rushed to the Butwal-based Lumbini Zonal Hospital in the district, where he breathed his last after some hours.

The District Police Office is in search of the vehicle and its driver.
