People have been attracted to ayurvedic treatment in Ramechhap of late.
People in rural areas of the district believe ayurvedic treatment is less detrimental to health and has no side effects. The treatment is more effective among the people in rural areas as it involves the use of medicinal herbs.
According to Dipak Karki of District Ayurved Health Centre, Manthali, the locals in rural areas are attracted to this kind of herbal treatment compared to allopathic treatment. He said medicines made from herbs had no side effects and could cure the disease. Karki informed that many patients suffering from various chronic diseases reached the centre for treatment.
Shankar Adhikari, a local, at Kathajore, said the villagers were habituated to ayurvedic treatment and were attracted to medicinal herbs. He said the villagers believed in ayurvedic treatment and avoided other forms of treatment.
