People in favour of democracy in the country: PM Deuba

DADELDHURA: Nepali Congress President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that people are in favour of democracy for safeguarding country from a difficult political passage in the history of Nepal.

Addressing an election rally at Alitala in Dadeldhura, his home district, on Sunday, NC President Deuba said so.

With the upcoming elections at its door step, PM Deuba has started his election campaign from Taplejung district in eastern Nepal before reaching his home district today.

PM Deuba also claimed that the Nepali Congress would emerge victorious in upcoming elections.

"People have shown initiation of protecting Nepal being ruled unded the communism as the Federal Republic of Nepal was achieved after 70 years of long struggle," PM Deuba shared.

PM Deuba referring strings of violent attack over the candidates of the House of Representatives and State Assemblies carried out by the election opposing forces to immediately stop such terror acts.

The upcoming House of Representatives and State Assemblies elections in 32 districts are scheduled on November 26 and remaining other districts on December 7.

Meanwhile, the government has been critised for failing to provide adequate security to the candidates contesting in the upcoming polls after a string of attacks on them.
