Kathmandu, April 12:

Former PM Surya Bahadur Thapa today handed over awards of excellence to 36 outstanding personalities from different countries for their contribution in different fields.

Outstanding personalities from Thailand, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Japan, India and Nepal were felicitated during the function organised by India International Friendship Society.

Among those awarded were a journalist and social worker Bishwo Mohan Chaudhary of Bihar, mathematician Prof Kaumarya Manoj of Chandigarh and Bijendra Singh Yadav of Firozepur among others.
