PM Dahal begins political parleys in India

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who arrived in New Delhi of India on a four-day state visit to the southern neighbour today, began meetings with political leaders today itself.

He held a meeting with the Nationalist Congress Party of India's General Secretary DP Tripathi at the Nepali Embassy in New Delhi.

He is scheduled to meet Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader Sitaram Yechury and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today itself.

The PM's formal meetings with Indian government officials including President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, however, have been scheduled for Friday.

Meanwhile, Dahal also attended a function organised by the Akhil Bharat Nepali Ekata Manch, an organisation of Nepali diaspora in India, today.
