KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is the chairman of  CPN Maoist Centre, said on Tuesday that some forces were trying to blow the 'rightist wind' in the name of nationalism.

Addressing a function organised by his party's youth wing, Young Communist League, today, the Maoist leader claimed that some

regressive forces were working against the issues raised by the Maoists' people's war.

"We are making efforts to achieve national unity by creating emotional unity among Himal, Pahad and Tarai. But some forces are trying to blow the rightish wind in the name of nationalism."

According to him, those forces, who he did not name, were preaching "blind nationalism" by shaking hands with the "feudal elements" with a conspiracy to revoke the republic and secularism and thwart the implementation of federalism.

"But this is not possible in front of the people's awareness," he said.
