Pokhara hotels to stay open, says HAN

Pokhara, May 30:

The Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN), Pokhara, today withdrew its decision to close Pokhara-based hotels after the government assured the body that it would announce a special relief programme for tourism entrepreneurs.

Citing the slump in tourism sector in the region, the HAN had decided to close all hotels from May 1. But after the restoration of democracy, the HAN had postponed the implementation of its decision. Now, following the government’s assurance, the decision has been withdrawn, the HAN said.

The decision was taken to make the government to announce a relief package.
