POKHARA: Police said they have arrested a man in possession of a cache of controlled pharmaceutical drugs from Pokhara on Thursday.

Acting on a tip-off, police had arrested 35-year-old Dil Bahadur Gurung of Pokhara-1, currently residing at Santibatika in Pokhara-9.

According to Kaski District Police Office, he was arrested with dozens of ampoules of diazepam, phenergan and norphin.

Meanwhile, police said Gurung was regularly involved in drug smuggling activities in the Lake City.

Police said they are looking into the case.
