Indian youth snatches Rs 4 lakh from outside Parsa bank

PARSA: Police arrested an Indian national who had allegedly fled after snatching Rs 4,00,000 from a person who had withdrawn the money from a bank in Parsa district on Tuesday.

The suspect has been identified as Amir Gawala (20), a permanent resident of Jalpaithan in Bihar, India.

Gawala snatched the fortune from Jata Shankar Saha of Dharmanagar, Bara and fled yesterday, according to the District Police Office, Parsa. Saha had withdrawn the money from the Citizen Bank's branch office in Adarshanagar Chok of Birganj when Gawala targeted him.

Police got hold of Gawala along with the money, according Deputy Superintendent of Police Chakra Raj Joshi at the DPO.

The investigation into the case is underway, said police.
