Pokhara, July 24:

Legal practitioners today prevented Nishan BK from being arrested immediately after the Pokhara Appellate Court issued an order to release him. Police tried to re-arrest BK, a resident of Amalchaur Village Development Committee Ward No 9, at the gates of the court, but a large number of legal practitioners who had gathered at the court gate snatched him away from police captivity and presented him in front of the chief judge and other judges of the court, who were attending a function at the Bar Hall. The Kaski district police office had presented BK before the court on a murder charge filed against him by the Baglung District Police Office, based on the complaint filed by Lokendra Bahadur Thapa. BK had been arrested from the Serchan Guest House at Nalamukh in Pokhara in January last year.
