Police make public names of arrested leaders, cadres of Biplav-led group along with seized items

DANG: District Police Office, Dang today made public the names of arrested leaders and cadres of Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav)-led Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) along with arms, cash and other important documents seized from their possession.

Police had arrested 21 leaders and cadres of the Chand-led group from Rajpur Rural Municipality-4 on Wednesday night.

Issuing a press release today, police said that 21 leaders and cadres including mid-western command in-charge of the party, Chandra Bahadur Chand 'Birjung', Rapti bureau in-charge Kesh Bahadur Batha 'Subhas', central chairperson of youth association, Dipraj Serpali, Rolpa district in-charge Santosh Subedi, and Dang district in-charge have been arrested from a place where they were holding a meeting.

Police also seized six pistols, two magazines, nine rounds of bullet, an improvised explosive device, and Rs 384,530 from their possession, as per the press release.

Similarly, 36 mobile sets, four cheque books of Global IME Bank, 21 bags, 16 dairies, 13 books of different political philosophy, 30 letter pads used for soliciting donation, a stamp of the party were also confiscated, said Deputy Superintendent of Police, Binod Bikram Shah.

Police said that action has begun against them by filing a case of organised crime and sedition.
