DANG: An Assistant Sub-Inspector of Nepal Police has been injured after a group of youth physically assualted him while he was on duty, in Dang, on Monday.

Local youth had attacked ASI Bhagawat Basnet with a wooden log on his head while he was on a patrol with three other police personnel at Bagdangi of Lalmatiya-8 in the district. Basnet is posted at the Bhalubang Area Police Office

Basnet has sustained critical injuries and was sent to Butwal for treatment.

Police said they are looking for Sunil Malla, Jhapindra Pandey, Sher Bahadur BK, Amar Khatri and Anil Gharti for their alleged involvement in the attack.
