Nepalgunj, December 6:

CPN-UML leader Bam Dev Gautam today said that there is no alternative to a political agreement.

Inaugurating a seminar on food rights organised by the All Nepal Farmers’ Federation (ANFF), he said the parties could not go a step ahead without a political agreement. “The condition will be a serious one if any political party tries to breach the agreement.”

Saying that chances of a political agreement between the NC and the Maoists are increasing.

“Constituent assembly (CA) polls are impossible without the involvement of the NC and the Maoists,” he said. He said the interim constitution and government will fail if there was a breach of the political agreement.
