KANCHANPUR: A Congress leader was murdered on Monday night at Kanchanpur 4.

The deceased has been identified as Bishnu Prasad Mishra 37, a local resident of Tilachaur, Bhim Dutta municipality,8.

According to the police his body was found at a distance of 200 metres from his home.

He had been badly injured in his head, neck and shoulder.

An investigation is underway.
