Poll publicity materials breaching code of conducts seized
RAJBIRAJ: The Saptari district administration office has started removing poll publicity materials that have been put up in the thoroughfares of Rajbiraj since Thursday evening citing the breach of election code of conduct.
Acting on the public complaints, the district administration office has come up with the move to evict the publicity materials.
According to the District Administration Office, Saptari, the poll publicity materials including flex banners and posters used in a way to violate the code of conduct were removed from the Gajendra Chowk at the directive of Chief District Officer Bhagirath Pandey.
The administration resorted to take the action when the candidates remained disinterested to comply with the election code of conduct.
Likewise, poster, pamphlets and election materials showing election symbols have been confiscated from different places of Rajbiraj, said CDO Pandey.
A joint team of the District Election Office and District Administration Office has been removing posters and pamphlets put up in public places, temples, schools, government offices and electric poles, Pandey further informed.
