Import of poultry products via the Nepalgunj and Gulariya checkpoints of Banke and Bardiya districts has been banned after cases of bird flu were traced on Wednesday in the West Bengal state in India, chief of Regional Animal Quarantine Check Post, Nepalgunj, Dr Muni Lal Chaudhari said on Friday. “Intensive patrolling is going on in the border areas to contain the possible outbreak,” he added.
