Prachanda sure of stir's success
BHAIRAHAWA: Unified CPN-Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ today said that his party’s movement for national independence will achieve successes.
Stating that movement of national independence initiated by Bhimsen Thapa and Bhakti Thapa had not been accomplished till the time of Madan Bhandari, Prachanda claimed it would be a successful one this time. Prachanda said so while inaugurating National Industrial and Tourism Fair organised by Nepal National Industry and Trade Organisation in Bhairahawa.
Speaking at the programme, Prachanda said, “We will get rid of foreign domination very soon as the level of consciousness among the Nepalis has increased.” He added that Nepalis cannot bear encroachment upon their lands by the foreigners. Prachanda also denied forming the government with the help of foreign powers.
The Maoist supremo said that he would not surrender to anyone and fight for national independence and civil supremacy.
He, however, expressed hope that the High Level Political Mechanism would find solution to the political impasse. Prachanda maintained that the Maoists had planned to set up 10 special economic zones for industrial development of the country. We also have plans for generation of 10,000 megawatt of electricity in the next ten years.
