Three ambassadors sworn in

KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari administered the oath of office and secrecy to three newly-appointed ambassadors this morning.

At a special function organised in the President House, President Bhandari administered the oath of office and secrecy to Amrit Bahadur Rai, Nepal's Permanent Representative to Permanent Mission of Nepal to the United Nations and other International Organisations in New York, USA.

Likewise, Nepal's Permanent Representative to Permanent Mission of Nepal to the United Nations and other International Organisations in Geneva, Switzerland, Mani Prasad Bhattarai was also sworn in.

Also on the occasion, Nepal's Ambassador to Israel Anjan Shakya took the toath of office and secrecy from the President.

Present on the occasion were Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, Chief of Army Staff Purna Chandra Thapa, Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Shanker Das Bairagi, and high-level officials from the Office of the President and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
