KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has received tika and jamara from the main priest of the Hanuman Dokha Dashain Ghar, Devraj Aryal, at the auspicious time of 8:45 am today on the occasion of the Bijaya Dashami festival at the Sheetal Niwas .

Aryal also presented President Bhandari offering of the goddess Navadurga (nine manifestations of goddess Durga Bhawani).

President Bhandari's family member and relatives along with her family priest Khemchandra Dhakal were also present on the occasion.

Bhandari also received tika and blessings from her uncles--Khagendra Pandey and Jayanta Pandey--and her aunt Sabitri Pandey.

After that, she bestowed tika and blessings to her daughter Usha Kiran and other family members.

The Head of the State is to offer the tika to senior dignitaries from 13:00 to 14:00 today while the members of the public can receive the same from 14:00 to 17: 00.
