Pressure cooker bomb goes off in Bhojpur

BHOJPUR: A pressure cooker bomb went off inside the premises of Shadananda Municipality office in Bhojpur district yesterday night.

According to police, the bomb was planted beside a vehicle parked near the entrance of the municipality.

Deputy Superintendent Police (DSP) Nar Bahadur Magar, chief at District Police Office, Bhojpur, informed that the vehicle inside the municipality was targeted in the blast.

He further said that a pamphlet was also found at the incident site which carried a message criticising the current government and the country's constitution.

Meanwhile, another suspicious object was discovered behind the municipality building.

Police informed that a team of Nepal Army was arriving from Khandbari in Sankhuwasabha to check the suspicious object, and defuse it if need be.

Further investigation is going on.
