KATHMANDU: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav on Sunday called on Nepali Congress president Girija Prasad Koirala at the

latter’s residence in Maharajgunj. Dr Yadav wished Koirala a speedy recovery during

the half-an-hour meeting. Koirala was

diagnosed of urinary tract infection on

Saturday. Sources said Dr Yadav informed Koirala of his upcoming India visit through February 15-18. Koirala wished the president all success in his visit. After the President

informed Koirala of Sunday’s swearing

in of Vice-President Paramanda Jha, the latter advised the former to carry out the function as per constitutional provisions so that it does not create problems again. Koirala, meanwhile, briefed the president on the ongoing activities of the High-Level Political Mechanism.
