Prez visits flood-hit areas in far-west

Dhangadhi, September 29:

President Dr Ram Baran Yadav said he would do his best to lessen the miseries of flood-hit people in the far-western region.

He made this remark while inspecting the Bhajani-based flood relief camp set up in Mohanyal Higher Secondary School, following an aerial inspection of the flood-hit areas including Bhajani, Lajboji and Khailad today.

Dr Yadav said he would direct the government to allocate relief and manage resettlement for the flood-hit people as soon as possible. On the occasion, Kailaki CDO Chhetra Bahadur Bhandary briefed Yadav on the natural disaster and its consequences.

President of Mohanyal Higher Secondary School Management Commitment, Rudra Joshi handed a memorandum with various demands of the flood-hit people to the president.

President Yadav also visited a relief camp in Tribhuwan Basti in southern Kancahnpur today.
