Deuba directs party cadres to focus on polls
Kathmandu, June 8
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba today directed his party leaders, workers and students aligned with Nepali Congress to focus on the upcoming elections.
Addressing an orientation programme organised by Nepal Students Union, the NC’s student wing here in Kathmandu, PM Deuba said that holding all three elections — second phase of local level polls, provincial and the parliamentary elections were the priorities of the incumbent government.
“Students have a great role to get the party candidates elected. So focus on the election,” the PM directed. Senior NC leader Ramchandra Paudel said that students should reach the districts to launch awareness campaign to cast votes in the favor of the party’s authorised candidates.
NSU chairman Nain Singh Mahar said that NC could not got better result in the first phase of local level polls held on May 14. He said that the orientation programme was organised to get NC candidates elected.
