PM observes Saptari flood-hit areas

RAJBIRAJ: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba inspected the flood-affected areas in Saptari district today.

PM Deuba also met face to face with the affected families of the rural areas hit by flooding a week ago.

On the occasion, he also obtained information on the erosion and the inundation caused by the Mahuli River in the rural areas including Maina Karedo, among others under the Tirahuta Rural Municipality in the district.

The flood in the Khado, Jato and Mahuli rivers a week ago broke the dam, besides inundating a dozen of villages in the area.

Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Janardan Sharma also accompanied the Prime Minister.
