Principles and priorities of budget tabled in Province 4
POKHARA: The principles and priorities of the appropriation bill for preparation of budget of the remaining period of current fiscal year have been presented in the provincial assembly of the Province 4 on Thursday.
In today's meeting of the Provincial Assembly, Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Kiran Gurung tabled the principles and priorities of the budget adding that preparations are on to make the budget based on the annual policies and programmes of the government.
He also said that potentials of agriculture, tourism, water resources, minerals, forestry would be studied as the major basis of prosperity of the province. Taking part in the deliberations, province assembly lawmakers Dhananjaya Dawadi, Indra Raj Sapkota, Dobate Bishwakarma, Asha Koirala, Rajib Pahari, Omkala Gautam, Binod KC, Mekhlal Shrestha, Chitra Bahadur Ghale, Krishna Chandra Nepali, Sarita Gurung and Ramji Prasad Baral said that employment should be generated through the promotion of tourism industry.
They also suggested that each lawmaker should be provided with Rs 5 million meant for development budget by setting up the constituency development fund. The next meeting of the Province Assembly shall be held at 11:00 am on Friday.
